abstract = "This study evaluated soil losses between 1995 and 2010 scenarios
of the Ceveiro Watershed with the help of RUSLE. For this purpose
we used a 1:10.000 topographic map, HRC image of CBERS-2B and
other information were incorporated into the GIS database /
SPRING. As a pre-requisite to estimate loss established the
current land use in the Ceveiro Watershed Basin, located in
Piracicaba, SP. There was an increase in pasture areas especially
around the dam silted up and a reduction in dirty pasture areas
with 136,43 ha. With respect to cane sugar, was not observed major
changes in values of area, but a reorganization of this usage in
MHC. It was noted a reduction of soil losses from 1995 to 2010. As
to the use of 2010 there was a decrease in soil loss of 4,37% for
the class 50 - 100 Mg.ha-1.year-1 and 46% to the class greater
than 100 Mg.ha-1.year-1 in relation to the use of 1995 which was
confirmed the accuracy of the producer and user accuracy. The
comparison of the maps is used Kappa index obtaining a value of
0,70.",
